Continuing a wave of rather blatant hypocrisy on the part of the Vatican:
The Legionaries need to be disbanded completely, I would think. Too many of the lower-level members have been brainwashed, there is too much of a creep-factor associated with them now for them to ever be effective again (except among their own brainwashed devotees), and religious congregations always center on the spirituality of the Founder, who in this case turned out to be an evil sham.
But, fat chance of that happening: this Pope doesn't like hurting people's feelings (which sort of makes you wonder what he's doing in a position of leadership, which very often requires just that...)
"By pushing away and casting doubt upon all those who questioned his behavior, and the false belief that he wasn't doing harm to the good of the Legion, he created around him a defense mechanism that made him unassailable for a long period, making it difficult to know his true life," the Vatican said.Uh...doesn't that sorta sound exactly like what the Vatican is doing now by circling its own wagons?
